The BISSELL Big Green is purposely designed to clean comprehensively and dry quickly.

Remove deep-down dirt from carpet with rotating DirtLifter PowerBrushes that clean in both the forward and backward pass and stay comfortable while cleaning, thanks to the ergonomically designed, adjustable tank handle. The powerful clean you want is now available in your home.

• Heavy-duty suction power works extra hard to extract dirt and odours from your carpet and upholstery
• XL DirtLifter PowerBrushes provide powerful scrubbing action that works to remove dirt on both the forward and backward pass
• The large capacity tanks keep the clean and dirty water separate
• The flow indicator shows the flow of water and solution in the machine. When the indicator stops spinning, you will need to fill the tank with more water and BISSELL solution

How to use Bissell Carpet Cleaner

Before you start

  • Vacuum the carpet: Thoroughly vacuum the area you plan to clean before using the machine.

  • Pre-treat tough stains: For set-in stains, it is recommended to pre-treat them before using the machine.

Filling the tanks

  • Remove the tanks: Pull up on the dirty water tank handle to lift it off, then lift out the clean water tank.

  • Fill the clean water tank: Unscrew the cap, fill the tank with hot tap water to the "FILL" line, and add the recommended amount of Bissell cleaning solution using the measuring cap. Screw the cap back on and place the tank back into the machine.

  • Secure the dirty water tank: Place the dirty water tank back on top of the clean water tank, making sure the handle is locked in place.

Cleaning process

  • Turn on the machine: Plug the machine into an outlet and turn the power switch to the "ON" position.

  • Recline the handle: Push down the green lever on the back of the machine to recline the handle for cleaning.

  • Make a wet pass: While pressing and holding the trigger, make one slow forward and back pass over the area.

  • Make dry passes: Release the trigger and make at least one slow forward and back pass to extract the solution.

  • Repeat: Continue this process of wet and dry passes throughout the carpeted area.

  • Monitor the flow: A flow indicator on the dirty water tank will show when the solution has run out and it is time to stop spraying. When the solution is depleted, empty the dirty water tank and refill the clean water tank as needed.

After cleaning

  • Empty and clean tanks: Empty the dirty water tank and rinse it to prevent odors and bacteria.

  • Let carpet dry: Allow the carpet to dry completely before putting furniture back or walking on it. Using a fan can help speed up the drying process.
